T minus 4 days
4 days until I head to the Vancouver airport to catch a flight to Paris. I am extremely excited as I have never been over the sea before. The plan is 2-weeks spent with the Father, Dalvanir and my Aunt Betty travelling from Paris to Italy and back. I don't know where we are going, or what we are doing, I am just tagging along for the ride.
I the mean time, I finished school yesterday! 10 of the worst months of my entire life are now over. What was I thinking when I went back to school? I now have a gizillion errands and appointments before I leave for Vancouver on Saturday morning.

A Birthday Present for a Brother
Cam, my brother, recently came for a visit to Victoria. He came 3 days after his 23rd birthday and I believe he was here to ensure that his big sister wouldn't forget about buying him a birthday present. So on Friday night he arrived at my house to find... Nothing! I could blame the lack of goods purchased on time constraints, lack of motivation or creativity, (all of which are entirely true), however, I will blame it strictly on laziness.
After having Cam around for 3 days and still no birthday purchases I realized my time was running out. He had just bought a new bike, and I thought if he could tell me an accessory to go with it that would be a great present. I was almost convinced to get him a water bottle and matching cage, and then I realized how lame that would be. Time was ticking and Cam was now leaving the next morning. It was at that point we made and impromptu trip to Walmart!
The idea was to get a bungee cord, (or three), to tie the bike to the back of Cam's car. The trip ended up being a gold mine of birthday presents!
We started out down the camping aisle grabbing 3 sets of bungee cords, (3@2.90). Next we strolled past the sporting goods only to find that Frisbees were being proudly displayed at an everyday low price. We grabbed one that came with an instructional CD on how to play Ultimate, (1@$14.34). I was thinking that this was good but did we stop there? NO! We headed down the snack aisles where yet another item caught Cam’s eye. It was a bag of dill pickle Doritos (1@$3.25). The idea sounded bizarre and frightening to me, however, after Cam described their irresistible taste I was sold. I was just about home free when Cam realized no road trip would be complete without liquorice. One bag of Supernibs (1@$2.00), under our arms we headed to the cashier.
And if you don’t think that was enough I then took Cam for a juice and donut at Tim Horton’s. I must admit Cam is a very luck boy as to have as giving a big sister as I.
PS. This is Cams new bike.
