Off to Trail
Well, I am moving to Trail come January 1st, the "Home of Champions". I have accepted a winter coop position with Teck Cominco, the big old smelter in Trail.
I went searching Google for a photo of the plant, and I couldn't help being overwhelmed with the beauty of this photograph. The sunset reflecting on the the smog in the early evening. Sigh.... Whoever Findlow is, he should be proud!
I must admit the photo below also does provides a nice depiction of Trail, the bustling downtown, the pickup trucks and the smelter in the centre of it all.
So, I am being hired as a coop student, and during the interview I was told I'd be wearing steel toes and overalls to work. The "office" is right in the middle of the action. After I accepted the position I started thinking.... was my winter going to consist of shovelling slag from one container to another.
I suppose a girl can dream.
Anyways, if anyone knows of a person looking for a roommate or a renter for the Rossland area, let me know.

I think it looks like a nice city.I am sure it will be a great time. I would like to keep you company there, but the great turbine(high bypass/low bypass) engines of the CF need me! Good luck Jenny!
